Embracing the homeward call

Banana Pudding Cheesecake Pie

August 12, 2024

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

We love pie at our house so I’m always either on the lookout for new recipes or making up my own recipe. One weekend I decided to make a pie for Sunday lunch, and I wanted something fluffy and cheesecakey with a banana pudding twist. So, I came up with the “Banana Pudding Cheesecake Pie”!

Doesn’t that look delish?! Here’s the recipe!

Banana Pudding Cheesecake Pie

A fun fluffy fusion of cheesecake and banana pudding!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5- 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 12 oz Cool Whip
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust
  • Vanilla Wafers
  • bananas

Instructions

  • With a mixer, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Start with 1 1/2 cups of the powdered sugar and gradually increase the amount if you want it any sweeter. Mix in the vanilla. With a rubber spatula, fold in about 1/3 of the container of Cool Whip.
  • Slice a couple of bananas and place the slices in a single layer on the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the cream mixture over the bananas and spread evenly. Add vanilla wafers around the sides. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Chill for a few hours or over night.
  • Before serving, top with a few crushed vanilla wafers and freshly sliced bananas.

You can also make your own whipped cream instead of using Cool Whip. Even though I make and enjoy fresh whipped cream, my husband actually prefers Cool Whip. It’s one of his all-time favorites, so when I really want to treat him, I’ll plop an extra double dollop of Cool Whip with his slice of pie and he’s a happy guy!

For this month, we’re both on a sugar detox so I shouldn’t even be looking at pie recipes right now–boo. But maybe we’ll enjoy some banana pudding cheesecake pie next month!

I made this for my husband and daughter last night. We all loved this pie. I used homemade whipped cream instead of cool whip. Thank you for the recipe.

Yum! I loooove homemade whipped cream! It’s always my preference but my hubby is a die-hard Cool Whip guy.😂
