The Ways of Her Home

Embracing the homeward call

This Little Hand

December 30, 2021

I’m taking down Christmas decor today and, as with every year, I’ll be enjoying a little trip down memory lane as I pack away each of my children’s keepsakes. I’ve always especially cherished their handprint art, knowing their little hands would never be that tiny again, and wondering where the Lord might lead them in life. The little Santa trivet below was made by my oldest when she was just 5 years old!
And now?…

And now that hand has a ring on it!! We are thrilled that God has led her to a wonderful man who proposed on Christmas Eve-Eve, and will soon hold her hand in marriage.

I will post more in the coming days from our Christmas holiday but wanted to go ahead and share our most exciting news of the season!

So, to all you mamas of little ones…….keep making those handprint keepsakes!! You’ll be so thankful to have them when your children are grown.

Thank you, Tabitha! It’s amazing how quickly those little hands and feet grow! My daughter is now married and works at a preschool and is doing the same Santa handprint art with her students that she did as a little one! I told her the mamas will be so grateful to have it! Merry Christmas to you and your precious little Jane!

I still have stuff up! 🤪 I was hoping to get it all in one clean swoop, but ended up having to run out and finish up New Year’s grocery shopping! 🎉
