Ten Reasons to Love Fall!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL! I could not be any more excited about autumn’s arrival! When I started jotting down my favorite things about fall, I quickly came up with 20 things on my list, and I wasn’t even finished! There’s just so much to love about this glorious season! For this post, I’m going to cut my list short and stop with 10 favorite things which means I’m still leaving out some fun ones like football and travel, but I have to stop somewhere. So, here goes!


1- Fall Flowers

Mums, pansies, sunflowers, and Autumn Joy, to name a few!

2- Warm Drinks

Apple cider, hot teas, cocoa, and seasonal coffees. Pumpkin Spice, anyone?

3-Baking!

Apple, cinnamon, pecans, pumpkin, and maple flavors baked into delicious muffins, cakes, and loaves,

4-Soups

Steaming bowls of chicken, tomato, chili, and veggie soups served with freshly baked breads to warm us up for our evening meals.

5- Scenic Routes

Beautiful mountain views, colorful leaves swirling on country roads, and cotton and cornfields ready for harvest all make our drive into town each week so enjoyable,

6- Fall Scents

Pumpkin, apple, pear, cinnamon, and nutmeg scents flowing from my candles, diffuser, and oven. Yes, please!

7-Fall Decor

Piles of pumpkins and leaves set among glowy candles and twinkle lights! And a sweet orange kitty who happens to be named Pumpkin and loves to nestle herself into my coffee table display!

8- The Great Outdoors

Hiking, nature hunts, wildlife, camping, barn life, pumpkin patches, and fun field trips are all enjoyed during autumn’s cooler temperatures.

9-Chilly Evenings

Entertaining guests with outdoor chili suppers followed by campfires, smores, blankets, games, and movies. What fun!

10- Thanksgiving!!!

My absolute FAVORITE holiday of the year!!!

Today, not only is it the first day of FALL, but it’s also my sweet mother-in-law’s BIRTHDAY! Can you imagine a better day of the year for your birthday to fall on?! I can’t! Happiest of birthdays to you, Bonnie!!!

    Amen to ALL of these! It’s a shame fall only gets three months. I vote we take some time from summer and extend it!
