Embracing the homeward call

Sweetheart Tablescape

February 18, 2020

Hello! This was my Sweetheart Tablescape for Valentine’s Day and weekend this year! The original post somehow vanished and must be floating around in cyberspace (maybe with cupid?!). So instead of writing it all again, this time I’m just posting the photos. Enjoy, friends!

What a beautiful table! And to have the men cook the meal? Perfect! I’m fascinated with the teacup candle. What a precious memento. Will you be able to refill it? I’ve never made a candle before. Maybe that’s something we could do with the girls one day!

Yes, the teacup candle can be refilled, although I’ve never made candles so maybe that should be our next project with the girls! I’ve used it so sparingly since Joel’s mom gave it to me several years ago, but it’s pretty much used up after this last weekend.

Loved your Italian themed table for Valentine’s!! What a great idea! I’m going to have to go thrifting with you sometime because you have the best finds!

Thank you! On the way to soccer last night, your sweet girl was telling us about your family’s heart pizza and movie night. ❤️ 🍕 How fun!
And oh yes, Joel is a great cook! I do most of the day to day cooking but when he gets in the kitchen, it’s pretty tasty.
