Good Monday morning, friends! We had the loveliest weekend! On Saturday, I celebrated my fiftieth birthday. Yep, FIFTY. 5-0. It feels a little weird to say that, but I’ve never minded getting older and I’m really looking forward to my fifties! Saturday morning, my husband and kiddos and I drove over to Callaway Gardens’ Spring Festival in Pine Mountain, Georgia. We spent the day enjoying the gardens and then spent the night at their lodge Saturday night. My sweet guy lavished me with all the feminine things my heart desired and let my daughter and me take the time we wanted enjoying the gardens. My son was okay with it all as long as we kept the food coming throughout the day, ha.
I have so many pretty photos from the different garden areas that I thought I’d just do one post each day this week and feature a different part of our weekend in each post. Today, I’d like to share photos from the tulip garden which was absolutely gorgeous!
The morning was pretty overcast so I’m sure this area is even prettier on a sunny day, but it was all still so beautiful and full of color! The entryway of the garden boasted the most cheerful canopy of umbrellas in every color! I’ve seen photos of these umbrellas all open which is stunning, but it was a little windy so I’m guessing that’s why they were closed. Still, even closed, the display was so happy and fun!
To the right was a garden of multicolor tulips in warm, vibrant tones and a variety of shapes and sizes.
I just adore tulips!! We found these peachy ones below to be so interesting and my husband even commented that the “raggedy” ones were pretty neat. I said maybe “ruffled” might be a more flattering description for tulips, haha!
Is there anything more elegant than these two-toned tulips with the deep red?!
Another “ruffled” tulip but this time in bright yellow.
The sun did eventually start to peek out a little which just highlighted the color even more.
The other side of the garden featured tulips in softs purples and white. It was a very pleasant field to stroll through. Lavendar tulips alway feel so Eastery to me!
I loved this fridged tulip below!
There were plenty of other kinds of flowers to see too.
And beautiful barn-like structures and landscaped areas for seating.
I was glad we were there early before it was too crowded. They had live music and several food counters around the green.
It seemed like at every turn we made there was another sweet little sitting area with pretty detail.
I’ll finish with some fun spring topiaries that were displayed around the area. Just so cute and I’m sure the little ones especially enjoyed them.
Pretty creative! I hope you have a lovely spring day and I’ll be back tomorrow with some more photos from another part of our getaway.

Oh so pretty and “springy” even if we are wearing coats! The “raggedy ruffled” tulips are gorgeous and the umbrellas opened must be a sight to savor!
