Happy October, friends! And where did September even go?! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Snapshot Sat post so today I’m sharing some snapshots from our last week of September ’22 which included everything from the pool to the pumpkin patch!
I’ll begin with the pumpkin patch because our family waited alllll summer for this! We drove by it every time we went to town and watched the corn maze grow all the summer long. So, when it finally opened last weekend, we were there to officially kick off our fall season! And my sweet mother-in-law joined us for the day too.
Pumpkins everywhere! I love it!
This place is more than a pumpkin patch. They have a corn maze, sunflower maze, corn cribs games, hayride, food, and several other activities. They add more fun things each year and we love having this in our community.
We ate a BBQ lunch there.
And walked through the corn maze.
The corn cannon is a yearly tradition for my son.
We did several other activities and ended with a hayride and picking out our pumpkins. I always like to select my pumpkin based on the stem. I look for the twistiest stem I can find and this year I found a real winner! How fun is that!
Our morning temps dipped down to the 50’s this past week so we had our first fire in the fireplace one morning!
But by that same afternoon we were at the pool! Crazy, right? My son knew the pool would be closing this weekend, so he asked for one last swim.
I sipped my cold pumpkin coffee while sitting at the pool. This was definitely a fusion of summer and fall seasons!
The afternoon temps have been so wonderful this week! It was so nice to eat lunch out on the porch without melting.
And riding bikes with neighborhood friends!
Fall soccer has started back and our son had his first game for the season. It’s so much fun to be back at the soccer field with the other families!
The dogs are also enjoying the lovely weather. We’ve been taking them on more walks during the day and after dinner. Look at those happy faces!
But the cats are cozying up indoors for fall. They have become so cuddly with each other! It’s really sweet.
And since today is the first day of October, I sent my Texas daughter her October care package with a pumpkin theme! It should arrive at her home today.
I hope you all had a blessed September. It was truly a mixture of seasons, wasn’t it? We enjoyed a few last summery activities but now it’s full-on autumn!
I’ll be back next week to pick back up with Part 3 of our adoption story. Have a beautiful weekend!
