Just a few photos from life in the country lately……

The deer have been out in the early mornings while I’m taking my walk. Many mornings lately have been foggy which looks so pretty hovering around the garden.

I went out one morning with my coffee just to check on the garden, set my mug down to pull up a couple of weeds that caught my eye and ended up working for an hour and a half! When I finally came back to my coffee it was full of dead flies. Eww.

I saw this little green guy on my potting table. I used to hate lizards but now I welcome them in my garden because they eat the bad bugs.

And this sweet mama bird. I had this new birdhouse set on the fence waiting until I had time to put it up but mama bird was too quick for me. She built a nest and laid 2 eggs in there so my son screwed it to the fence to keep it from falling over with the babies inside. It’s been sweet to watch her going in and out of her little home.

Liberty is so cute the way she sticks her furry little bottom in the air while she’s trying to get her tennis ball out of the pool.

Barney was chilling by the pool one afternoon and my daughter joked that he was working on his summer highlights.

Pumpkin doesn’t get to go outside but she will sit by a window all.day.long. She especially enjoys the garden window this time of year because there is a lot of activity out there with birds, bees, and butterflies.

We have had so much rain lately. I love a rainy summer afternoon, but I don’t love the mildew it’s bringing into my garden.

Hope you all have a very nice weekend! We’re getting ready for some Father’s Day company tonight and tomorrow so I’ll be busy today, but first a cup of coffee with my husband. Today is our 29th wedding anniversary!
