Maybe the title of this post should be “Get Them Trying” because I can’t make any guarantees, ha! But I have something to share today that I found in my recipe binders while cleaning out. It was a fun little experiment I did with my girls when they were young and I was trying to find healthy(-ish) recipes they could enjoy.
I made these cards that I called “New Recipe Survey” and placed them on the dinner table anytime I tried a new recipe. I found that my girls were more enthusiastic about trying a new food if they could leave a review. It was fun for them and gave them the opportunity to respectfully offer their input.
Above is what a blank card looked like and below are some of the cards my girls filled out. I’ll just let you scroll down for yourselves and read—they’re quite cute!
I had several more, but I’ll stop now except for a silly one my oldest made up. I promise I never served them slimey worms and dirt for breakfast! Funny girl. Although we did eat dirt cake with gummy worms for dessert sometime!
I wish I still had the computer file for these recipe survey cards to share with you, but those are long gone. Feel free to copy mine if you have kiddos at home and want to give it a try!
Hope you’re having a great week. Happy Hump Day!

Aww, yay! I’m glad you liked the idea! I haven’t shared many photos of my kiddos on this blog but I’m going to have to find some of their kitchen photos from earlier years to share with some more stories–we have some hilarious stories. 🙂
