Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Two years ago, I gifted my oldest daughter a subscription to Tea Time magazine and the first issue she received included recipes for an Irish tea. This magazine along with some newly thrifted green and gold teacups inspired her to host a St. Patrick’s Day tea for our family and her then boyfriend, now husband (nothing like some good cooking to seal the deal, right!) As you’ll see from the photos, she put on the loveliest tea time complete with a delightful menu served at a beautiful table!
She cooked all afternoon and then set the table, pulling anything green from around the house.
Each teacup held an Irish Breakfast teabag (except for my son’s since he doesn’t drink hot tea…yet).

No matter your opinion of radishes, these little Irish Butter and Radish Canapes would win over any skeptic. I’ve never loved radishes as much as I did St. Patty’s Day 2021! The Irish butter and thyme softened the flavor of the radish so nicely.
The guys especially enjoyed these meaty Apple & Pork Sausage Rolls. Mostly savory but with a touch of sweet apple, just delicious!
She was planning to make the Roast Beef Tea Sandwiches with Red Onion Marmalade from the magazine but due to time switched to roast beef with Irish cheese. Perfect!
The soup was one she threw together with beef broth, fresh veggies, and thyme. Very tasty and not too heavy which was perfect with the sandwiches.
You can’t have tea without scones and these Bunratty Folk Park Scones were a delightful paring with steaming Irish tea.
These lovely little Irish Cream Panna Cotta cups were not only a pretty to look at but so sweet, creamy, and fruity in our mouths! I think next time my daughter comes home for a visit I’ll have the ingredients for these ready for her to make for us.
As you can see, my daughter is quite the hostess! We enjoyed our family Irish tea so much and I’m thankful for the sweet memory of her treating us to such an enjoyable St. Patty’s Day tea.
I wish you all a fun St. Patty’s Day today! And don’t forget to pick up your clover plant. They sell them now at most grocery stores and are just the happiest little plant.

What a fun tea party. She is very talented. The shamrock plant is so fun. I didn’t realize you could buy those at store.
Alinda
Yes! I usually get mine from Publix, but I this year I picked up a couple from Fresh Market. 🍀

Good to know, thanks. I will check Publix the next time we are there. Maybe my cat would leave that alone. She tries eating any flowers we bring in the house.
Alinda
My cats like to play in the dirt of my potted plants. 😩

What a treat!! You are correct about the little shamrock plant bringing cheer! A sweet grandson from out of town gifted us one when he came by. It is a breath of spring on my kitchen table!
Alinda
Aww, he is always so thoughtful! Enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day and your shamrock plant!! 🍀💚
