The Ways of Her Home

Embracing the homeward call

Her Hands, Her Home

58b0c45f-5a20-4fd9-a3a6-89417f9e8b9a

Among the women I have been blessed to know, I’ve observed a common thread in their God-given nature: a draw toward the home. Whether single or married, younger or older, mother of children or fur babies, employed at house or office, a woman has a heart for her home. And somewhere between heart and home, her hands swing into action!

Just think of all that her hands do in a day in support of her household! From performing housekeeping tasks to nurturing souls to clasping her fingers in prayer, a woman’s hands are persistently and painstakingly employed. And, at times, her hands also become the extension of her home, reaching out beyond her own walls to serve others in church and community.

I often thank God for the gift of these functional instruments which assist me in my daily work. I am in awe over the many ways we women utilize our hands in the home—doing, making, creating—and that passion is the foundation for this blog.

For years I’ve gleaned from blogs that have provided fresh homemaking motivation, and I’d like to also pass on to you that same inspiration for your own home. My intention for this spot is certainly not to showcase the work of my hands, but rather to simply share ideas and encouragement as we all look well to the ways of our home (Proverbs 31:27).

I’m so happy to have you here and look forward to having you stop by often for recipes, household tips, spiritual encouragement, and everyday happenings. My disclaimer is that I am no photographer, writer, nor tech whiz. Therefore, what I offer here is a very humble, homemade blog!

With a warm welcome,
