The Ways of Her Home

Embracing the homeward call

Girls’ Trip to Texas

October 15, 2024

Last week my daughter and I went to visit my married daughter in Texas and we had a lot of fun!

Magnolia was beautiful, as always. I don’t watch Chip and Joanna’s show so I don’t know much about them and therefor wouldn’t really call myself a fan, but I do enjoy visiting Magnolia. We went for a couple of hours one morning to do a little walking around and grab some lunch from the food truck. The pizza is our favorite!

The shops are a little expensive, so we didn’t buy anything, but all of their products are beautiful! And they even had some Christmas items out which was exciting.

Before leaving we got some refreshment from the coffee shop!

Next, we went to Fables bookstore. Actually, we went two days in a row because we love this place.

I’ve posted about this bookstore before and its magical Narnia entrance into the children’s area. So creative!

We did a few other fun things during our week. My daughter taught us a new game called Hues and Cues.

And of course we did a lot of good eatin’! Naturally, we ate some great tacos in Texas.

And who knew that Texas has great sushi too?

Without planning it, my girls just happened to wear coordinating outfits one day so I had to take a picture because it reminded me of their little years when I put them in matching outfits, haha.

The drive to and from Texas makes for long trips going and coming, but my girl and I have a lot of fun in the car with good snacks, movies, and plenty of COFFEE.

My sister-in-law gave us these cold brews before we left on our trip which were so good, and we might have also stopped at Starbucks a few times as well.

What a fun girls trip filled with wonderful memories for all of you. Your girls are so beautiful. How fun that they coordinated coincidentally. Waco looks like a fun place. That bookstore would probably be my oldest daughter’s dream place.

Oh yes, your oldest would be in book heaven at that bookstore! It is a really interesting place with lots of comfy places to sit and a great selection of books. Plus a coffee bar to top it all off! ☕️ 📚
