Happy Friday, y’all! Today’s Friday fluff post isn’t so much about cleaning house but is related to housekeeping by way of food prep. I’d like to introduce you to two more Norwex products I’ve been using since the spring: the Veggie & Fruit Scrub Mitt and the Fresh Produce Wash. Neither of these products were on my wish list and I always passed them by when scrolling through Norwex’s website. But after purchasing my Norwex mop I qualified for both items at $5 each!
Let me tell you that I am the pillar of strength when it comes to add-on specials (the photo stores hated me when I would take my little girls for the $9.95 package, and they were assuming they’d talked me into an additional $100 in extra photos! They were soooo wrong.) So, it’s a record I hold proudly. However, an extra $10 total for 2 products that would normally cost $43 together? Hey, that I could go along with!
I’ll begin first with the Veggie & Fruit Scrubbing Mitt. I use this more for the sturdier produce such as potatoes and carrots because I feel it might be too abrasive for say tomatoes and strawberries. I would not have given this mitt a second look if it had not been on special, but now I’d definitely pay the regular price of $16.99 if I ever needed to replace this. It works great to easily get the dirt and grime off my produce!
When I finish using it, I wring it out and place it over my dish soap bottle to dry and it waves “hello” to me the rest of the day!
Next up is the Fresh Produce Wash. I use this with any veggies that can’t be peeled like lettuce, grapes, strawberries, etc. I was pretty impressed to watch my grapes go from dull to shiny the first time I used this stuff. And lettuce seems so much fresher when I use this. I put the produce in a bowl with cold water and a few ounces of the wash, swish the produce and let it sit a few minutes before draining and rinsing. For a quicker wash when I’m in a hurry, I’ll use the spray nozzle to spray the wash directly on and around the produce, let it sit just a sec and then rinse.
Ok, so would I buy this again? Well, although it works, I still can’t get my head wrapped around it’s regular price of $25.99 even though it seems to go a long way. But if it ever goes on sale again for $5, or even $10, I’d probably get another bottle. Until then, I’m using it sparingly and making it last.
Last but not least is a product that isn’t by Norwex but while we’re in the kitchen I might as well share. The Meyer’s brand is probably not new to anyone since it’s in most grocery stores now, but the “Pear Tree” scent is new to me and I’m loving it! My sister-in-law and I share an enthusiasm for all Meyer’s products and she’s always sweet to bring me a soap or spray for a hostess gift or special occasion! She gave me this pear-scented dish soap earlier in the summer and I’d been saving it for company or a holiday. But when I ran out of dish soap this week, I pulled it out of the cabinet, and it has certainly made dish-washing a much more delightful task!
By the way, just a reminder that the stores are starting to put out the Myer’s fall-scented products and you have to grab those when you see them! I already have my Acorn Spice put away in the cabinet. Just waiting to find Apple Cider now!

I always enjoy Mrs. Meyers dish and hand soaps! Yes, the room sprays go a long ways! Kristin has used those and introduced me to them.
My pick me up go to scent is the Iowa Pine! Even in the middle of July, washing a pot or pan by hand is not as tedious with Iowa Pine for me!!

Oh I love the pine! I found them at Lowe’s last Christmas for a great price and stocked up on teacher and hostess gifts. You’re right, it makes dish washing less tedious!

Our Target had their Mrs. Meyers fall soaps on display this week. I went ahead and picked up Fall Leaves, Acorn Spice (my favorite!), and Apple Cider. P.S. Have you tried their room sprays yet? I love them!
Alinda
Hi, Katie! I’ve got to get back to Target for the Apple Cider then! I’ve never bought the fall leaves scent but I’m assuming I would love it too, especially if it’s anything like B&BW “leaves”. And I have not tried their room sprays yet so I need to, but I have used their counter spray (that sweet Shannon brought me, of course ☺️) and I like that I can smell it but it’s not too strong. Thanks for the recommendation! 🍂🍎🍁
