Fluff the Nest Friday: Let’s Do This!

Around here, Friday is the day to “fluff the nest”, which is just a much cuter way of saying “clean the house”. Am I right? So my Friday posts are all about tidying up and getting the house fresh and in order for the weekend. Some weeks my nest-fluffing comes more easily than others. I need motivation each Friday.

Happy Friday! It’s been a long time since I’ve done a “Fluff the Nest Friday”! I really don’t have anything spectacular to offer today as far as cleaning tips, but I wanted to hop on here and cheer us all on in ending the week strong!

After the kids and I finish school today, I’ve got a huge load of housecleaning to accomplish before the weekend. We’ve had some scheduling changes this week and some extra activities that have me wanting to just call it a week, forget the work, and crash. But tonight, when the fam and I finally sit down to unwind with a hot pizza out of the oven and some Andy Griffith episodes, I KNOW I’ll be so thankful to have it done. Saturday is always full of its own work and busyness with other home maintenance, activities, and preparations for Sunday, so it’s nice to go into the weekend with a clean house and some chill time on Friday night. I will be reminding myself of that ALL DAY LONG while working through my list.

Whether you fluff your nest on Friday or another day during the week, or spread it out throughout the week, find something that you can look ahead to as a little reward and keep plugging along. Let’s do this!
