Prepping the Kitchen for Fall Cooking and Baking ’24

Summertime brings a huge cleanout for me each year. This summer, I reorganized a lot of areas of my house, but definitely spent the most time in the kitchen! My cabinets and drawers had really gotten bad. We do a LOT in there. It's more than just a kitchen, really. It's also our school, our science lab, art studio, gift wrap station, and much more. One of the benefits a of good kitchen cleanout is that everything I do in there now works a lot smoother than before and I'm already looking ahead and seeing how much more enjoyable it will be for fall cooking and baking. Lady Liberty!

Happy Independence Day from Lady Liberty! Well, not that Lady Liberty...... ....this Lady Liberty! Isn't she cute! My daughter got her exactly two years ago this week, the day before the 4th of July, so she named her Liberty. For the last several weeks she's been away at "good girl school" (the dog, not my daughter, haha) and we are so happy she's finally home! She came home so grown up and nicely disciplined, my daughter and I decided she deserves the title of Lady. My son helped me get the front porch cleaned up and a few patriotic touches added. Spring Flower Basket

Spring is almost here! I've truly enjoyed the last couple of winter months so much, but my front porch has seemed dead for a while. Lately, I've just lacked motivation to tackle projects around the house, but I finally decided it was at least time to spruce up my front entrance. For a couple of years now I've been wanting a door basket, but everywhere I checked they seemed pricey. Last week I managed to catch the 50% off basket sale at Hobby Lobby so I bought a door basket, a few new flower stems, and a fresh roll of ribbon. Christmas Decor ’23

Good morning, friends! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I have truly enjoyed all of it this year! The baking, the shopping, the gatherings, the goodies, the movies, the music, the decorating, and the worship! I had to cut out a few things this year, like getting Christmas cards printed and mailed, but it's a balance, right! Fluff the Nest Friday: Norwex Laundry Detergent

Happy Friday! Today let's talk LAUNDRY and Norwex's Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent! So, in my quest to reducing chemicals in my nest, I've been using several Norwex products for the last couple of years and absolutely love them. But I’ve always passed by the laundry detergent in the catalog because it was pricey, and I wasn't sure it would work any better than other "free and clear" brands I get from the grocery store. A Ladies’ Night Menu

Hello! I hosted a Norwex party at my house Monday night and my ladies and I had a great time together learning about the cleaning products, visiting with each other, and eating! I've had several ladies ask for the recipes, so I thought I'd share those today. I served a tomato pesto tart, grilled herb chicken, and Italian salad. I've shared this tomato tart recipe before but it's definitely worth reposting. My daughter and I love this tart! She was so excited when I told her I was making it and she doesn't even like tomatoes! And I've found that most people who don't like tomatoes end up liking this tart once they've tried it. Good Morning and Good Monday!

The ladies are coming tonight and that makes me so happy! I have a full list to accomplish today. I enjoy having company and I equally enjoy being productive and marking off a to-do list! I headed outside early to get my outdoor stuff done before the heat sets in for the day. I wanted to get my front porch looking freshened up, so I swept and brushed out the chairs, watered the plants, and pulled out any dead leaves. All of my beds need weeding, but I just focused on getting this front bed freshened up for today so my guests would have a nicer entrance. No need to kill myself before company comes! Fluff the Nest Friday: The Norwex Cloths

Good morning, friends! How's your nest-fluffing lately? Mine has needed some deeper fluffing this week so I've been bust working on windows and baseboards with my Norwex cloths. I LOVE these cloths! They make my cleaning way easier and everything I use them on just feels cleaner and fresher. I call it "happy cleaning"! I also love the mop, dusting mitt, vegetable cloth, makeup cloth, and the cleaning paste. And for Father's Day I gifted my husband the car wash cloths which he said work better than anything else he's ever used!
