In my last post, I shared photos from our tour of the Biltmore house! Today, I’m offering a virtual stroll through the enchanting gardens around the estate’s property. I captured these photos with my iphone, but now I’m really wishing I’d taken my “real” camera. Also, as with the last post, I’m fighting the urge to dive into the details and history of each image! However, I’ll try and go through these in steady pace.
Just the walk alone from the house to the gardens is quite a pleasant experience. There are so many beautiful areas to pass through, beginning with this wisteria-covered pergola.
I’m so fond of this side view of the house when looking back after exiting the wisteria walk.
The gardens always reflect the season, so we took in a delightful viewing of mums in hues of yellow, orange, and purple, arranged in the most interesting geometric patterns!
They really were this bright!
The conservatory is breathtaking! I could explore it for hours. My thoughtful husband took the kids on to another area when they were all ready to move on to allow me all the time I desired at the greenhouse. He’s kind of perfect that way.
Enjoy scrolling through the next several images. These plants and flowers are a mere glimpse of all that is displayed throughout the greenhouses.
After leaving this area, we followed the trails leading to the bass pond and waterfall.
So many exciting details in the bridges and railings.
When our visits fall during the warmer months, we take off our shoes and play in the creek! It was a bit chilly for that this time.
Although we were a little early for the peak of leaf season, the scenery was already giving us all the fall feels with its whispers of gold.
Our last stop was Antler Hill Village. We love this area! There is so much to do here.
Unique shops offer clothing, and arts and crafts by local artists while live music is being performed on the village green.
Cedric’s Tavern is always our splurge meal.
Moving on to the farm, just a short walk down, there are many wonderful activities for children! A petting farm, barn, playground, games, and demonstrations by a blacksmith and carpenter offer plenty to do.
There are also numerous other activities that we haven’t tried such as bike riding, horseback riding, and kayaking, to name a few.
Although this post is supposed to be about gardens and other outdoor attractions, no trip to Biltmore Estate is complete for our family without the tradition of our favorite foods! Ice cream, fudge, coffee, sausage dogs, and a bison burger (for hubs) are our usuals. This year I tried a squash and pumpkin pasta that was so delicious!
I’ll conclude our fall garden tour on a very happy and colorful note.
Until next time, Biltmore!

Thank you, Bonnie! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. The whole time there I kept telling Joel, “Your mom would love this!” 🌸
