Hello! I have some product recommendations for you today! Here are a few new-to-me items I’m currently loving for bath, body, and beauty.
Eucalyptus and Spearmint Bath Soak
My wonderful husband surprised me the week of my daughter’s wedding with a “wedding week survival basket”! I know, he’s the best! One of the items in the basket was this bottle of essential oil-scented Epsom salt from Bath and Body Works. A soak in the tub with a few capfuls of this stuff really soothes my aching back and neck. After using the first bottle and raving about it so much, my husband went back during Bath and Body Works’s summer sale and got me 2 more bottles!
Flamingo Razor
The Flamingo razor gives the smoothest shave I’ve found so far. I got it at Target for $10 and I was so impressed with it, I later got one for each of my daughters. It’s a close shave though so no rushing or you’ll get nicks! But because it’s close, I’ve found that my legs can go an extra day or two with this razor over other razors.
Lacura Oatmeal Body Lotion
I’ve been getting this lotion at Aldi and it’s comparable to Aveeno’s oatmeal lotion but at a fraction of the coast—just $3! It has a good texture and moisturizers my skin nicely without causing breakouts. It’s fragrance-free which means I can use it when I have a headache looming, or when I want to use a scented body spray (I love body sprays in the summer!) without the scents clashing.
Lacura Foaming Gel Cleanser
Also from Aldi, this facial cleanser has replaced my old one, which cost several dollars more, and works just as well for me. It gets all the makeup, oil, and grime from the day without drying out my skin. I use it in the morning and at night and my face feels very clean after use.
L’Oreal True Match Nude
I’m no makeup guru but I do wear it and try to keep up with new products out there. My nephew’s girlfriend is great with makeup and has introduced me to some wonderful products! She did our makeup for the wedding and gave us some product suggestions to try leading up to the wedding. This L’Oreal foundation quickly became my new favorite. I’ve used Clinique foundation for many years and will still hold on to it, but this L’Oreal is perfectly light for summer! And at $15 a bottle it definitely cost less than my Clinique.
Elf Poreless Putty Primer
Another product my nephew’s girlfriend recommended was this putty primer. It covers my pores so nicely without feeling heavy. I know the word “putty” sounds thick, but believe me, it’s very light. With just a thin application, it gives me a smooth overall face even before I’ve applied my foundation. I don’t use it every day, but on Sundays and days I have appointments and errands and want a more polished look.
Hello Toothpaste
I missed getting this one in the group photo and it was too late to go back and redo it so I’m slipping it in at the end. I’ve been using the Hello toothpaste for almost a year and love it! It whitens while taking care of plaque and tartar with natural ingredients such as peppermint, tea tree oil, and coconut oil and leaves my teeth feeling polished and my mouth so fresh and minty. It comes with or without fluoride and I’ve used both.
