The Ways of Her Home

Embracing the homeward call

Auburn’s Botanic

March 29, 2024

After staying overnight in Pine Mountain, Georgia, we woke Sunday morning to this pretty sunrise!

We got ready, checked out of our hotel room, and headed to breakfast at Country Kitchen for pancakes and coffee–delish! We could have driven back to our home church that morning, but my daughter had a bridal shower to attend in Auburn where my sister’s family lives, so we went to their church with them and then enjoyed lunch all together afterwards.

After lunch, we had a little time to kill before my daughter needed to be at the shower, so we went to walk around Botanic, a beautiful garden center, complete with greenhouses, restaurants, coffee/bakery, and gift shops. It is just the most pleasant environment to visit, and everyone was so nice. Enjoy the photos including the one I just had to snap of the bathroom! Wow, even the bathroom is amazing.

Well, I don’t know about you, but this leaves me inspired to do some planting. I plan to get my hands in the dirt this weekend!

Hope you all have a lovely Easter!

I had not heard of it either until recently but I’m pretty sure I’ll make a point to stop every time I’m in Auburn! Happy Easter to your sweet family!! 🐣🐰🌸🧺

That was my first time going and I will for sure go back! They really paid attention to every detail. 🌿 Next time I’d like to eat at one of the restaurants!

Botanic is absolutely one of my favorite places….such a relaxing place for the eyes to behold and the soul to be refreshed! And it’s not bad to bring home a plant or two either from the bountifully stocked nursery!

I didn’t bring home a plant this time but I definitely will next time! Did you know that the owner is the same woman who started Chicken Salad Chick?! She and her husband (who has also owned restaurants) dreamed this up together and I’d say they make a pretty good team!
