Welcome to the weekend! For my snapshots today, I decided to choose one pic from each day this past week. So, here goes!
Saturday: Sorghum Fields
We drove into the city last Saturday to run some errands and grab some lunch. After a day in the city, I’m always ready to head back home to the country. The drive home is so picturesque and relaxing! Riding past cow pastures and fields of corn, cotton, and soybean help me decompress from the busyness of the city. Last Saturday we noticed a new crop in our area this year that we haven’t seen around here before: sorghum!

Sunday: Two-Year Old Nursery
My daughter and I had the 2-year olds for Sunday morning worship and they were just the cutest little dolls! They kept us laughing so hard with their smart comments, silly play, and funny shenanigans that I had tears rolling down my face. What a joy little ones are!

Monday: Lavender Bee Latte
I’ve already shared about our ladies’ day in my Tuesday post, so I’ll keep this one brief, but I’m still thinking about the Lavendar Bee Latte I sipped with such lovely company of friends. I haven’t recreated the latte at home yet, but I plan to this week. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Tuesday: Yard Work
Our son hit a rite of passage in the last year: cutting the grass! He’s been allowed to drive the riding mower when my husband is close by (he gets a little sporty on the rider and has to be monitored), but we purchased a new push mower that is battery-operated and easy for him to manage himself. He feels so big now that he can just go out and do the yard himself and my husband is happy to have the help!

Wednesday: Feline Friends
We hit a breakthrough this week with the cats! They are playing and snuggling, and a few times we even found Pumpkin bathing Floyd! Yes, Pumpkin’s maternal side had come out and is flourishing. I used to say Pumpkin would make the best mother, and now she has an adopted kitty son to prove it. She’s come a long way from that first night when she cried in my arms after we brought Floyd home!

Thursday: Sweet Memories
I love finding little treasures from my kids when I’m cleaning out. Thursday, while I was cleaning out in the attic, I found this list that my younger daughter made of “Things I want to bake and cook”. I think she was about 11 years old when she wrote this and seeing this sweet list with her little girl handwriting was just so precious! And WOW, what an ambitious little baker!

Friday: Liberty’s First Pup Cup!
We went through the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru for a refreshing drink while running errands (I love an iced coffee while out on a summer day!) and when the girl at the window saw Liberty in my daughter’s lap, she offered her a Pup Cup. Let’s just say Liberty definitely approved and is now the biggest DD fan! Check out that crazed look in her eyes!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed this snapshot of our week. I’ll be back Tuesday!
